New Law Turkish Residence Permit With Rental Agreements
Applying from 15 February 2022 Turkish immigration office announced that all foreigners willing to apply for the first or renewal of residence permit with a rental agreement or the contract or rental agreement should be notarized by the lesser or landlord, not by themself!
Take into note making this law has several reasons;
1 – The important one is to avoid those foreigners creating a fake notarized rental contract in an address which they don’t stay!
2 – The increase of foreigners staying in Turkey with a residence permit according to Turkey Immigration office management (Göç İdaresi Başkanlığı) by 7 January 2022 around – 1 million 326 thousand 503 hundred foreigners are living by residence permit in Turkey.

For making a rental agreement according to new laws the landlord and foreigner who want to rent should attend a notary office together ! the notary office also makes the rental agreement by themself based on their official format and you cannot offer them an already written agreement.
